22 years old Marcos Asensio has proved himself to be extremely gifted attacking midfielder, impressing across his 81 Real Madrid appearances and scoring 20 goals and strike a great deal of interest from premier league clubs.

A criticism of poor Spanish performance at the last world cup was a lack of youthfulness.

Well, Marcos Asensio could be a Key Component in the revitalised side.

9. Youri Tielemans – Belgium

20-year-old Tieleman is one of the brightest prospects in an already talented Belgium side.

The defensive midfielder has already made 213 senior appearances at the club level. Winning the professional league twice with ANDERLECHT before signing for AS Monaco.

He’s made 7 appearances for the Belgian squad so far, debuting at just 19. But could face very strong competition for game time in RUSSIA  considering the talent available to BELGIUM.

8. Gonçalo Guedes – Portugal

The 21-year-old PSG winger Gonçalo Guedes has impressed during his loan spell at Valencia CF.

With 4 goals and 8 assists in 15 LaLiga appearances, he certainly has made most of his minutes.

He so far has made 7 appearances for Portugal, most of which as a substitute. Including a debut which made him the first 18 years old since Ronaldo to represent Portugal.

7. Gabriel JESUS – Brazil

Gabriel Jesus has already sealed his place as a regular in the Brazilian international side. Beating fellow striker Roberto Firmino to a position in starting XI.

Key to his success so far has been his versatility and his link-up play with Neymar and Coutinho.

With that level of talent to supplement his own, Jesus could be in for a shot for the Golden Boot.

6. Ousmane Dembélé – France

With 10 goals and 12 assists for Borussia Dortmund in the 16/17 Season, there’s a reason Barcelona forked out 105 million for the 20 years old Frenchman.

Despite an injury, Ousmane Dembele has impressed amongst the stars at Barcelona providing 5 Assists in 7 LaLiga appearances.

Dembele’s Pace and Quality could seriously bolster an already impressive French side.

5. Timo Werner – Germany

In 2013, at the age of 17, Werner became VfB Stuttgart’s youngest ever goalscorer.

Starting a trend of record-breaking which has seen him become the Bundesliga’s youngest player to reach 150 appearances.

Now 22 and playing for RB Leipzig, Werner has netted 40 times in the last two seasons and has already made to the German competitive side with 12 appearances and 7 goals.

If he continues this form in the world cup, he would be a strong contender of the Golden Boot.

4. Delle Alli – England

36 goals and 26 assists in his 100 Premier League Appearances Delle Alli, at just 21, seemed to be England’s best option in midfield.

He has already earned 23 caps for England and has already impressed Gareth Southgate. His established link up play with Spurs teammate Harry Kane could be crucial in Russia.

3.Hirving Lozano – Mexico

22 Years old Mexican winger Lozano is enjoying his great first season with PSV Eindhoven.

With 15 goals and 8 assists in 25 appearances in Eredivisie. His stunning form has helped PSV to clinch their 24th League Title.

Lozano has made 25 appearances for Mexico since his debut in 2016, scoring 7 times.

Lozano’s speed and deadly right foot should see him start for Mexico’s first group game against Germany.

2. Leroy Sané – Germany

Know for his blistering speed and ability to turn defenders inside out, 22 years old winger Leroy Sané could be one of the biggest weapons in Germany squad.

Sané has made 11 appearances for the German team but is still waiting for that first goal.

At club Level, Sané has been a crucial player in Pep Guardiola’s Man City.with 9 goals and  15 assists in 25 Premier League appearances this season.

This strong form can help him earn a place in Germany’s starting XI in the World Cup.

1. Kylian Mbappé – France

Not bad for someone who just turned 19!

Able to play on the wings or central striker, Mbappe provide France with many options. Even though options in attack aren’t exactly something they are short of…
